Take Radioactive Barrels to the Dumping Grounds
To clear radioactive waste from your shop in Probably Stolen, carry a barrel to the Dumping Grounds after closing and move it from your bag onto the ground. Start with a single barrel and wait for Georgio to return it before dumping the rest, because his return event brings back the accumulated waste once per run.
Check the Waste Offer Before Accepting
The Corporate Waste Manager offers 100 credits per radioactive barrel, with batches of one, three or five barrels in the October 19 demo. Accepting the offer puts the barrels in your bag. Refusing the offer prevents that delivery, so you can avoid the cleanup entirely if you would rather keep your inventory clear.
Before agreeing, think about the trip as well as the payment. You need a bag capable of carrying a barrel to the Dumping Grounds, and the normal disposal route takes place after the shop day. Treat the payment as compensation for handling the waste rather than a reason to expect another sale afterward.
Carry a Barrel Out After Closing
- Put a single radioactive barrel into a bag capable of carrying it. This prepares the initial disposal trip while keeping the other barrels out of Georgio’s accumulated-waste return.
- Finish the shop day. The trip to dispose of the barrel belongs to the after-hours portion of the day.
- Select the Dumping Grounds as your after-hours destination. This takes the barrel you packed to the disposal location.
- Move the barrel from your backpack onto the ground in the scavenging screen. Leave it there instead of packing it for the journey home.
- Wait for Georgio’s relevant visit before dumping the remaining waste. He returns the accumulated dumped barrels during this event, which happens only once per run.
- Repeat the Dumping Grounds route for the returned barrel and your remaining waste after that visit. This clears the barrels after the return event has already occurred.
Handle the Barrel Georgio Brings Back
A barrel returning through Georgio’s visit does not mean you used the wrong destination. The important detail is that he returns the accumulated radioactive waste you have dumped before that visit. Taking the entire batch out immediately can therefore bring the entire batch back into your cleanup problem.
Dumping a single barrel first limits what comes back. Once that return has happened, take the returned barrel out again and continue clearing the others. Keep the initial trip separate from the remaining cleanup rather than assuming every barrel you drop will stay away immediately.
Skip Disposal Methods That Leave You With Waste
| Method | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Put the barrel directly in the normal trash bin. | The bin does not remove hazardous radioactive barrels. Use the Dumping Grounds route. |
| Leave the barrel on the shop counter overnight. | The barrel returns to the shop rather than being cleared. |
| Offer the waste to a customer who buys everything. | Players reported that this sale attempt failed to remove the waste. |
| Cancel insurance to try to lose the barrels. | Players reported that cancelling insurance did not solve the problem. |
| Move the barrels into spare Animal Cage slots. | This stores the barrels; it does not dispose of them. |
Treat the Supply-Crate Trick as an Older Workaround
Older players reported removing waste by putting it inside a disposable crate, binning the whole crate and having the cleaning service take it away. That report describes a possible bug, so keep the Dumping Grounds route as your main plan. The crate trick should not be treated as the normal hazardous-waste disposal system.

Watch the older supply-crate workaround explanation. The same tip mentions leaving a barrel at the Dumping Grounds, but its creator explicitly says they had not tried that alternative themselves.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
The demo patch also prevents owned items from being inserted into non-owned containers. Borrowing space in a container you have not bought is therefore not a shortcut around that restriction.
Plan the Outing Around Your Shop Day
Going out delays the following day’s opening and costs one customer. Combine a waste run with a night you already intended to visit the Dumping Grounds when practical. If you also plan to scavenge, bring bandages as preparation for the outing.
The barrel route here applies to the October 19 demo, while the crate trick comes from older player advice. The full game is planned for October 28, 2026. Keep that distinction in mind when following disposal tips across the demo, earlier playtest footage and the full release.
